Proxy configuration dialog does not work. Go to Edit/Preferences... and bring up the Prefs UI that allows you to configure Mozilla behavior. Select Advanced / Proxies to configure a proxy server. Problems: 1. Only one radio button should be checked at any time. Currently, selecting an unselected radio button does not cause other radio button(s) to become unselected - this makes no sense of course, since there is only valid proxy config for a particular installation. It is possible to have all three radio buttons turned on. 2. For Manual proxy configuration: No clickable button (in Netscape 4 it was named "View...") which allows you to actually enter the details of your proxy configuration such as server and port.

No changes from 4.x expected, re-aasigning to matt since he's the prefs jedi master.
OS: Windows 98 → Mac System 8.6
Hardware: PC → Macintosh
Edit->Prefs->Advanved->Proxies On Macintosh M6 build, there is no "configure" button next to the "Manual proxy configuration" radio button; therefore it does not appear to be possible to update the manual proxy configuration with the GUI.

M9 is when the prefs work gets done

I don't see the first problem on Linux but the second seems to be xp. I guess it's not done.

This dialog is now working well. 1999110809 build, NT. There is a sole remaining issue (a superfluous View button) but I'll be opening a new bug for that, matt.
Running M13 on NT 4.0 SP 6 the dialog is still failing to save manual proxy settings. I've manually configured the proxy settings in the prefs file, yet the dialog does not reflect those settings nor does it modify the prefs file when I enter data in the dialog.

More than likely this is do to a box layout bug.
Bulk move of all Pref UI component bugs to new Preferences component. Pref UI component will be deleted.
Component: Pref UI → Preferences
should be fix. Try deleting you prefs.js if it does not work.
