Steps to reproduce:
Tried to mark an IDN link with mouse to open it in a new tab.
Link is www.bäst-i-test.se . Google it to find link.
Actual results:
Option to open in new tab/window is missing.
Expected results:
Able to open in new tab like other links.

Right clicking http://www.bäst-i-test.se/ and selecting Open Link in New Tab works for me, and there is also an Open Link in New Window menu entry:

I'm getting a little bit confused by what you mean with "mark and right click". Marking a text link and right clicking also shows the Open Link menus when using a test case like this one:

Does the issue still occur if you start Firefox in Safe Mode?

So, I'm using above example HTML code to put into a file and then open it in the browser. And it works for me too.
So sure I don't know why it's not working in "real life use". I have tried from google search results and also bing search results with same result (no option to open link).

Reporter, could this be a duplicate after Bug 612146?
