I have noticed that the screen resolution works on talos-r3-w7-ref while it does *not* on the rest of the pool. I can also reach an screen resolution of "1280x1024" instead of "1280x720". Also when I right click on the desktop and I select "Screen resolution" I can see a display named "Display device on: VGA" rather than "Generic Non-PnP Monitor". These are enough evidences for me to believe that talos-r3-w7-ref has a dongle attached to it. I would like to verify that installing a dongle on talos-r3-w7-053 and talos-r3-w7-036 fixes the problem. Once I verify that it works I will put them on staging and get results. Thanks!

It seems that talos-r3-w7-ref did not have a dongle attached but it remembered that a monitor was attached. Rebooting without a dongle got the ref machine into the same state as the other slaves. After installing the dongle and rebooting all the screen resolutions are available. dividehex - I went to check the talos-r3-w7-ref to see if it had anything connected to it and I doesn't have a dongle nor a monitor connected armenzg - really? armenzg - that's news to me armenzg - would you nevertheless try to add one to the two machines I mentioned? armenzg - I wonder if it ever had it armenzg - let me double check that it has the newer graphic driver or not dividehex - the xp/w7/w764 r3-refs don't have dongles but when I did make changes to the image, it was probably shutdown with the monitor connected dividehex. I will add the dongles when i'm at scl1 (possibly tomorrow). i'm in mtv1 today armenzg - that could be a possible reason but truly this setup is always giving us new surprises :) armenzg - guess what happened when I rebooted the machine? :) dividehex - fixed? armenzg - now the machine is in the same state as all the other ones! armenzg - only 3 screen resolutions and Non-Generic monitor instead of VGA one! armenzg - the dongle might be the solution armenzg - would you be able to add a dongle as well to talos-r3-w7-ref whenever you can? dividehex - yeah i'll do it soon armenzg - thank you Jake! dividehex - heading up to mdf3 now.
