They're broken. No one looks at them.

I would submit that the former is likely the cause of the latter...

Do you know if anyone is looking into fixing them? If these are still wanted we can keep them. I believe the guy who first started them is now gone; do you know if anyone took them after?

There's not anyone actively maintaining them, no. Last I looked into it, though, all the things that were broken were on RelEng's side: bug 657647, bug 657636.
