Details

I updated my tree yesterday afternoon (2-3pm PDT).
I no longer get scrollbars when I go to http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/query.cgi
Filing bugs and doing bug queries are very difficult or impossible.
Priority: P3 → P1
Summary: missing scrollbars in browser portion of window
QA Contact: leger → elig
elig, you see this on the Mac with latest M7 build?
Apparently this has something to do with the use of "Back" on the toolbar...
Oops. Just saw Jan's question...

Using the 1999/06.01 9:00 AM Mac OS build, I'm not able to reproduce this problem
in Bugzilla. brade, might there perhaps be more unique reproduction steps
necessary?
I can't seem to reproduce it now; perhaps paulmac can?

I suspect something has changed (in the sidebar contents?) because I couldn't get
scrollbars at all earlier today and now they are fine but I get lots of "asserts"
in my debug window which I didn't see earlier today:
PreCondition: "dup release" (0 != mRefCnt) at file nsGIFDecoder.cpp, line 88
I, too, can't reproduce anymore. I do notice that the flash panel, which wasn't
connecting earlier today, is now active.

I'm resolving this as WORKSFORME until someone has a reproducable case.

reopening to get it back on the radar, this happened to me just this morning.
i'll try to get a repro test case.

I can currently reproduce this by launching apprunner, going to #18 of the
smoketests (basic frame page) and hitting back. The scrollbars are gone on the
smoketest page.

reassigning to karnaze because this is a nested frameset bug. While it doesn't

happen in viewer, I don't think it's an xpapps problem.

steps to reproduce:

1) go to www.dishking.com

2) click on the "DirecTV" button

3) now click the "Back" button

Notice that the dish king homepage now has no scrollbars

4) click back again

Notice that the smoketest page doesn't have scrollbars either.

This happens on (at least) both win32 and MacOS. don had an older build, so this

one has been around for a long time.
cc'ing don and chofmann
I am having this problem again.
In my case I don't need to go to a framed url.
Steps:
* New Browser Window
* delete url in location field and enter local file url for xul file
* no scrollbars
disabling the sidebar per slamm's instructions doesn't help.
perhaps this is an uninitialized variable?
please fix soon! :-)

This is probably a dup of bug 5109, but I'll let Radha decide.

This is not a blocker bug. Please.

It's also a duplicate of bug #5109.

actually; I don't think my original bug is a duplicate of #5109.
My original bug had nothing to do with framesets. When I could reproduce this
bug I only needed to go to bugzilla pages. Unfortunately, I can't always
reproduce this bug.

removing url; changing severity; changing component; reopening
I can't reproduce this now; resolve as worksforme

Using the 8:00 PM 6/16 1999 Mac OS & Win32 builds, I'm not able to reproduce this
issue and am rubber-stamping as verified, under the assumption that brade will
re-open this the moment she sees it happening again. ;)
Moving from Apprunner to Other component temporarily whilst don and I set proper
component. Apprunner component will be retired/deleted shortly.
