Since they were all puppetized this morning. I can see in the logs that my session is connecting, but it's taking >5 minutes to connect. Yesterday this was instantaneous. Also, once I'm authenticated on the remote machine, I can't see the display. Here's an excerpt from the log on talos-mtnlion-r5-085

I tried this with the ref machine, which has *not* been puppetized, and that works without issue or delay. I suspect that recent puppet changes may have cause the slowness you're seeing now if things worked fine yesterday.

I finally connected to 085, and the screen size is drastically wrong, being tall and narrow. I'd start looking at puppet changes there.

I've tested this in my environment and it works. The default resolution on the new machines is different from the old talos machines.

I thought 1280x1024 was *required* for Talos? I've no issues with this patch, but I don't see how it solves the problem..

Well, the screen is completely unusable with the old resolution and we can't connect via vnc with it configured that way I'll see what happens with the talos tests after I run a reconfig today and get them running on Mountain Lion.
