No need to fire the What's New page during this time. Going forward by default we should assume we won't be using the What's New page since it will help us be more silent and is ultimately a better user experience. The exception will be when we have something really big and important to share, or possibly chem spills. We reserve the right to show it at times like those :).

Thanks for filing this ahead of time. I think this is a no-op for us because we already have 'actions silent' in the patcher config (https://mxr.mozilla.org/mozilla/source/tools/patcher-configs/mozRelease-branch-patcher2.cfg#4). Nick, can you confirm that?

That's right. We suppressed WN globally for 14.0.1, except for a few locales where we wanted it (which got a visit from sed).

The What's New page is showing to 15.0.1 users. Screenshot attached. I tested on myself, and a co-worker.
