filing this since bug 79948 made the Preferences dialog have a fixed size. i see this only on Mac so far. [heh, kinda like bug 80415]. the content in the Proxies panel doesn't fit in the panel in either the classic or modern3 themes: the textfield and button in the Automatic proxy configuration section are clipped at the bottom. the content of the Cache panel doesn't quite fit in modern3, but is fine in classic. it's minor here, since only the the box outlines are clipped on the right side.

this is not networking... UI needs to be fixed. some skins issue as well I think.

win32 talkback build 2001051604 The fix for bug 80392 did not fix Proxies panel. Content is still clipped on both the right and bottom.

reopening, as this is still a problem for the Proxies panel on the Mac [2001.05.16.12 comm verif] in both modern and classic. kchayka, was this a problem for you on win32? which version of windows and which theme, and could you pls attach a screenshot? i don't have a problem on winnt using 2001.05.16.12 bits. ben, should this go to the themes folk?

I get this for win32 (Windows 95B), 800x600x24, build 2001053004, both Classic and Modern themes (classic screenshot attached), Windows set to "small fonts". I also get clipping in the following prefs: themes, mail message display, and mail send format.

Herschel Gelman: my standard caption button size is 18, yours appears to be 15. that would account for ~6-9 pixels in each dimension.

Looks like dbragg checked in something that fixes this. This panel now even fits in Mac modern.
