I think this just involves flipping a pref once we are sure the backend is ready.

Metro is considered somewhat experimental and won't have flash. Can we push this out sooner than desktop? What critical bugs block turning this on?

What version of Firefox is Metrofox going to be built off? I'm aiming to enable WMF on Windows 7 in Desktop builds this cycle.

The current blocker is getting the mochitests green; there's a threading issue causing hangs and crashes on TryServer. Once I fix that we're good to turn it on by default.

We're merging metrofx code from elm over to mc currently and should have the browser on in mc nightly builds at some point over the next couple weeks. We are also building elm nightly builds presently so we could flip the pref there as well.

I landed patches to enable H.264 support in Windows 7+ today on Inbound (bug 837859), and they haven't bounced yet. So hopefully H.264 in Metrofox will Just Work once those changes percolate over to the appropriate repositories. :)

I owe a story on supporting multi-media in Metro. It'll arrive here, bug 842639, and we'll test against that when the story is written.
