The mockup at https://bug836387.bugzilla.mozilla.org/attachment.cgi?id=726419 (e.g. 3rd image) shows the tile-selection contextual actions on the left of an otherwise empty appbar. These contextual actions are really analagous to a context menu and we want to remove options that arent specific to the tile selection.

Hi Asa, this bug was nominated to become a Story. Moving it to the Planning Backlog to get the requirements laid out.

Story: managing tiles is a contextual action and should show the context app bar rather than the standard page app bar. As a Firefox user, I have convenient access to an uncluttered app bar for managing selected tiles or other not-website content so that I can quickly manage tiles without website context items getting in the way. The flow is well described in the attachment linked in comment 0 Success condition: Context app bars for tile management do not contain web page context actions and web page context actions do not have tile management actions :) Marco, is that enough to get this back into the ready for working on queue?

Hi Asa, thanks very much for outlining the requirements. I'll move it into the Story Backlog and we'll review it again when it comes up for development.

I fixed this as part of my patch for bug 835623. It can be made part of the current iteration. Bug 867523 is still open (and ready for implementation), but it doesn't really fit under this story's description. I guess we could turn that into a defect or whatever a followup is called within Agile.

I'm done here. Marco, feel free to make any necessary changes for integration with scrum.

Tested on 21013-05-16 using latest nightly built from http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/cc139752bed4 - Tested that the contextual app bar for tiles is simpler according to the attachment in comment #0. Not all options are exactly the same, or in the same order as the mock-ups, but they are consistent. - Content pages have their own, distinct context menu options. - I don't know where the mock-up is linked from or which story is associated with, but I will file bugs related to the behavior of those context menu options.
