I'm still working on this. I'm debugging some issues on the procedure to loan the machine. I hope to have more info in the next 3 hours.

:graydon, gentle ping - you still using this instance? If yes, thats cool. Just checking to make sure its not forgotten/abandoned and should be recycled...

I am not using it today; I will likely go back to using it once I have the AVDs and scripts developed in bug 910092 settled on and am doing benchmarking and tuning of the resulting setup. If you want to power it down for a while I can ping this bug when I want it back on? There's no important state on it and it may be a few days yet, or into next week.

Sounds good, powered down.
FTR, this is dev-tst-linux64-ec2-graydon in us-east-1.
I should be using this again now, can we power it back up?

Started.

Any chance I can get a flow to github port 22 on this machine? Currently timing out.
Unfortunately thats not possible. You can however stage stuff to people.mozilla.org and use that, or clone to laptop and then rsync to your loaner.
This instance has been up for 3 weeks with last login over a week ago.... its chewing CPU and such on our AWS bill, do you still need it, are you still using it? If you need it but are not using it now, can we stop it temporarily, or even delete it and recreate when you need it again? If you do need the data on it, or need to keep it running for some reason, then it is worth it, if not lets reclaim the cycles. Not presently, feel free to power down for now. The most recently tested code is awaiting (test-)production deployment. Sorry for letting this go idle.

I've stopped this instance. :graydon, do you expect to need this machine soon? Or should we loan you a new machine when you need one?
Flags: needinfo?(graydon)
Depends whether I need to do any manual checking to get the arm / 2.3 configs working. I won't be using it today, likely not tomorrow. It's turned off though, right? So is only costing cold EBS fees in its current state?
Flags: needinfo?(graydon)
This is correct. I believe we could leave it like this for now.
I killed the previous instance and I'm now generating a new one. I decided to follow the instructions to the dot which will require me to use a different naming and IP. tst-linux64-ec2-graydon.test.releng.use1.mozilla.com I will let you know when it is ready.
It seems that there have been puppet changes that are causing us not to be able to create loan machines (bug 949023). I knew that there was something broken! :) I hope we can fix it soon.

It seems that the machine managed to puppetize after the bug got resolved. graydon, can you please confirm that you can connect to the machine? Same credentials as before. tst-linux64-ec2-graydon.test.releng.use1.mozilla.com has address 10.134.59.153
Yes, sorry, I misread the name change. Am connected and working now.
For the time being, this can be powered down again. Hunting OpenGL API issues now, can use local workstation. Don't delete it though, may need again soon.
I stopped the instance for now. Can we re-create one when you need it again? or do you hope to get to it before the end of the week?
Sure, if you prefer deleting it and rebuilding it later, that's also ok. I have no idea if I'll get to it before the break or even if I'll need it again at all. Currently trying to figure out how much of the GLES2 stack can be built on GB (and/or backported).
I've terminated this machine. To get a new one, please follow these instructions: https://wiki.mozilla.org/ReleaseEngineering/How_To/Request_a_slave SLA is within 24-hours.
