This is a general request to enhance the conversation window. I guess it can be used to attach requests for actual changes to keep track of them.

I complied some bugs and ideas related and put them on the wiki:
http://wiki.instantbird.org/Brainstorm:general_brainstorming#Improvements_to_the_conversation_window
Added some depends on bugs as well.

Updated "Depends on". Removed one IRC specific bug and added the IRC UI specific tracking bug instead.

Things that could need some work/thoughts:
- the top area of conversations, where we should include more information (buddy icon (bug 953559 (bio 108)), status, ...) and a way to select the from/to accounts (bug 953652 (bio 206)).
- adding a "Send" button. Goals:
- discoverable way to send (first time users)
- provide a mouse only way to send (after pasting from the context menu).
=> should try to minimize the wasted space in other cases where this is useless.

Shouldn't we rather add something like "Paste and send" to the context menu then?

I guess that would be better for Windows users. On Linux people are used to paste with a middle click, so they don't open the context menu at all to paste.

Filed bug 954998 (bio 1567) for this.

This is bug 954395 (bio 961).
Having a lot of bugs block this one while this one is invalid seems wrong -> clearing the depends on list (contained 185, 206, 276, 108, 574 until now).
