The Sync 1.1 codebase does some munging that we don't want to do for FxA (equivalent bug on desktop: Bug 960816).

GitHub is up-to-date. This works on my device. Note that this work exposed Bug 963446. I reworked that deletion service to instantiate and use a SyncConfiguration, which encapsulates most of the protocol dependency, but of course we'll need to create the right SyncConfiguration when we handle deletions of FxAs.
