In my bookmarks (main menu pulldown, not PT pulldown which is disabled) I have 8 bugzilla bugs bookmarked in a row. I'm currently at a bugzilla page right now and the icon shows fine, so it is cached. However, in the bookmarks, only the last bug has the icon next to it, not the first 7. Sidebar appears to be broken, I can't unminimize it to check on bookmarks there. If I restart, the same thing is shown (repeatable). ->rjc
The icon for a given bookmark only loads in after you visit it, so if you have eight *unique* bugzilla bugs bookmarked, you'll have to load in each of the eight bookmark for all of them to get an icon.
Over to hyatt. David, I bookmarked two bugzilla URLs, one for my bugs and one for somebody elses. Switching between loading in the two of them several times, sometimes the proxy icon in the location bar wouldn't get the icon, other times it would. (By design, if the proxy icon doesn't load, bookmark icons won't update either.) Checking "View Source" shows that bugzilla DOES have an <link> "icon" defined, BTW.

Proxy icon? Not sure what that is (when I briefly used a proxy last week, I don't remember seeing an icon for it on the URL bar). As far as bugzilla pages not displaying on the URL bar, sounds like you may be seeing what I describe in my last comment on bug 111572. This one is invalid, I guess, since the icon is in the <link> on the page, but mozilla doesn't know that yet. ...unless it should assume at the icon from x.cgi?foo is the same as x.cgi?bar, in which case all bookmarks for show_bug.cgi could be updated the first time you visit ONE. For people with 0k disk cache like me, without that or a sepereate storage means for icons, you never end up seeing many icons in the bookmark list.

MASS-CHANGE: This bug report is registered in the SeaMonkey product, but has been without a comment since the inception of the SeaMonkey project. This means that it was logged against the old Mozilla suite and we cannot determine that it's still valid for the current SeaMonkey suite. Because of this, we are setting it to an UNCONFIRMED state. If you can confirm that this report still applies to current SeaMonkey 2.x nightly builds, please set it back to the NEW state along with a comment on how you reproduced it on what Build ID, or if it's an enhancement request, why it's still worth implementing and in what way. If you can confirm that the report doesn't apply to current SeaMonkey 2.x nightly builds, please set it to the appropriate RESOLVED state (WORKSFORME, INVALID, WONTFIX, or similar). If no action happens within the next few months, we move this bug report to an EXPIRED state. Query tag for this change: mass-UNCONFIRM-20090614

As a long voter who long forgot that he had voted on it, I'll confirm that it did exist, but it was was fixed ages ago.
Marking WFM as per comment 6 and my own test with a current SM 2.1 trunk nightly build (which is expected since the move to Places-based bookmarks, which AFAIK keeps favicons for all bookmarks instead of being cache-limited).
