Steps to reproduce:

1. Navigate to : https://10play.com.au/masterchef
2. Play the video

Expected Behavior:
The embedded video is played

Actual Behavior:
The video does not load

Notes:

• Not reproducible with ETP set to STANDARD.
• Video can not be found using Chrome
• Works as expected using Safari

I see them detecting ad blockers by checking if a request for https://pagead2.googlesyndication.com/pagead/js/adsbygoogle.js succeeds, so the same shim which fixed bug 1629644 should work here as well.

Raul, can you confirm if the same video plays for you in Firefox 87/nightly on desktop Firefox in strict mode/private browsing? If so, adding such a shim in Firefox for iOS should also do the trick there.

I can confirm that the same video is played using Nightly on desktop, in strict mode. In private mode, the video can not be found. And using the latest build of Firefox on iOS, the page returns a message stating that ad-blocker being enabled

@Oana, can you confirm here if the video still isn't playing in private mode on desktop? Even with my VPN they are not accepting my connection as from Australia, it's telling me that I must be in Australia to view videos, so I can't confirm. And if it does break in private mode, are there any interesting console messages?

In normal mode, after sign in, I can't play videos at all, regardless of ETP status. This happens in Chrome as well.

[Update] After creating another profile, the "Secure connection failed" was not shown and after sign in I was able to play the video both with Standard and Strict.

Raul what is the behavior on your side?

For iOS devices, I get the same result as before, enabling STRICT mode for ETP does not play the video, in both normal and private mode, as the error message regarding the ad-blocker is shown. In STANDARD mode, the videos can be played.
