Details

We're interested in unifying our localization release model around language pack model.

This model give us more flexibility, resilience, and decouples product and l10n release cycles.

This is a meta bug for items identified as required to close the user experience gap between using the langpack model compared to the localization repackages which we hope to deprecate.

Filed it in Release Automation: L10n, as a tangible win here will come from streamlined release code logic, but the dependencies for the task will likely come from many different areas such as installer, mozilla.org website etc.
