Just like the prefs ... we need to disable or remove menu items for features
that are not implemented.
Chris, if you get swamped on this one, we can split the pain of this one around
to the team. Do it last, anyway.

I need a list of what's not implemented, we'll need to do
this ? probably after Tuesday's tree closure to see what's
in/out.
Chris, add "View > Show Images appears active in menu, doesn't do anything" from
the summary of bug #21947.

sairuh, can you provide a list of other menu items? I know it must be around
somewhere...

other menu items disabled for beta1:
File > Offline: already fixed :-). moot for mac even though it appears active
(its children are greyed-out)
bug 27027: Wallet-oriented menu items already disabled; pending dependencies and
verification.
bug 24832 and 27418: cover Tasks> Update Notifications menu
bug 19323: View > Enlarge/Reduce Text Size --apparently not required for beta1.
View > Translate, Character Encoding: i'm unsure of these --cc'ing teruko if she
has further info on them. :-)

oh, yeah, and bug 27407: Tasks > Tools > Java Console should be disabled for
beta1.
Depends on: 27407

Does this bug cover prefs, too? A large majority of mail/news prefs seem to be
unimplemented but are still on in the prefs window, and I don't see a bug that
covers that.

unused prefs were covered under bug 21838 which has been verified --perhaps open
a new bug...?

PDT wondering if we should close out this generic bug and deal with specific
lists in a separate bug.

unimplemented prefs should be another bug.
Agree with phil's suggestion that we status-cycle
this bug and start over with a clean list.

Disabled:
View | {Show Images, Use Style Sheet, Enlarge/Reduce Text Size}.
Still enabled:
Task | Update Notification, seems to do something
Tools | Java Console, seems to be hooked up to something,
only for java people?
View | Translate/Char Encoding, waiting for i18n input.
File | Offline already disabled.

I belive I have done enough here to get us out
of PDT+ land, should I mark this fixed?
List other things I need to do otherwise.

hey, this looks good, 'cept for one thing:
View > Use Stylesheet (and its submenus) are still active on the mac (tested
w/mozilla bits 2000022508).
pink, anything you could do about this? (unless this is 'outta yer handz' :-)

Marking fixed for m14/pdt+.
This bug is a mess, if we need to reopen I prefer
another bug, will let QA decide. Marking fixed
to get off pdt+ radar.
