repeatedly ignores requests for new pages

Mozilla sometimes (not always, but very frequently) ignores requests for new
pages. For example, if I typed 'www.google.com' into the url box, it would go
there and the page loads without trouble. However, if I now type '<any other
random page>' into the url box, I see 'Sending request to www.google.com',
rather than 'Sending request to any other random page'. This also happens when
clicking on links.
I don't think it's just a misprint on the 'Sending ...' line. Usually, if I
keep hitting 'Enter' in the url box enough it finds the right page. However,
this isn't really very usable :)
I'm using a regular Linux 2.2 Redhat system with proxy, btw (nothing at all
special). Netscape works fine on the system in question, as do other browsers.
This might be a system specific bug, but I can't imagine what. It's been
present in the last few months worth of nightly builds (and possibly before
that). It doesn't seem to crop up under Windows, so it may be something to do
with Linux.
Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Enter an url into the url box
2.Wait for the page to be accessed
3.Try entering another url into the box. Often, Mozilla will attempt to fetch
the page from site 1, rather than the site you've just entered.

Sending to networking:cache. There are 3 or 4 reports of a problem like this
(some of which have been marked worksforme), maybe someone should finally start
looking into this... I guess the user that has this problem is just an unlucky
user..
Will post the bug # soon.
