We don't publish snippets for these, so we should disable the application updater altogether. This came up when looking at about:firefox, and having a functional "Check for Updates" button, that never finds any!
Aki told me that he thinks we tried this before and that it broke the Feedback extension logic, which is dependent on MOZ_UPDATE_CHANNEL. We might be able to work around this bustage by continuing to set this either via --enable-update-channel or just exporting it manually. Totally untested.
The previous time this was changed was bug 609705.
Depends on: 609705, 619801
OS: Linux → Android
Blocks: 627271
Priority: -- → P5
Whiteboard: [releases][android][automation]
Mass move of bugs to Release Automation component.
Component: Release Engineering → Release Engineering: Automation (Release Automation)
No longer blocks: hg-automation
I'm under the impression that we actively want this on for metrics purposes -> WONTFIX.
