> Several fixes when importing email from Microsoft Outlook Really, wasn't that mail/ only (I don't have bug number handy to check) Also we should really see about getting a SeaMonkey specific sec page up for our releases.... http://www.mozilla.org/security/known-vulnerabilities/ I though dveditz told me something about that recently, but I forget the details, CC-ing him for that. (Sea2.1 == Firefox 4, Sea2.2 == Firefox 5, Sea2.3 == Firefox 6 for posterity)
(In reply to comment #4) > Also we should really see about getting a SeaMonkey specific sec page up for > our releases.... > > http://www.mozilla.org/security/known-vulnerabilities/ I filed a bug for that. We really should have a "SeaMonkey 2.1 and later" that lists which vulnerabilities of 2.0.14 were fixed with 2.1, and which of 2.1 with 2.2 at least, newer possibly as well.
Blocks: SM2.3b2
For 2.3b2, the most important parts should be prepared; to be found as comments in the two HTML files under seamonkey2.3/. The following need to be added to the Changes page in addition to the ones that are commented out: * The Data Manager has been made compatible with IPv6 and more tolerant against other errors (bug 665826). * Front end changes for plugin problem UI "click here" (bug 667201). * Forwarding an .eml message caused a message compose error (bug 673049). And after b2: * After an update, tabs were restored but not loaded, except for the first one (bug 675162).
Status: NEW → ASSIGNED
Additionally for 2.3 (don't know whether it's in b1 or b2, too): * The standard context menu was missing on the Link Location input field of the Link Properties window (bug 665538).

Already fixed in b2.
FYI: "This list covers some of the known problems with SeaMonkey 2.3. Please read this before reporting any new bugs. NOTE: this list not yet updated since release of SeaMonkey 2.2" from 2.3's release notes.
(In reply to comment #9) > FYI: "NOTE: this list not yet updated since release of SeaMonkey 2.2" > from 2.3's release notes. Fixed that and added bug 674814 to Known Issues (and as a dependency here so I'm notified when the relnotes need updating after the fix). Notes for m-c changes that landed on a SeaMonkey specific relbranch, and is fixed in 2.3 (beta 3): Bug 664095 and Bug 671466

Hi I had a look at the Release Notes: http://www.seamonkey-project.org/releases/seamonkey2.3/ http://www.seamonkey.at/releases/2.3 In Known Issues is bug 647682 listed. But in mozilla-beta the bug is fixed: changeset: 68967:7893933cf5d0 user: Neil Rashbrook <neil@parkwaycc.co.uk> date: Thu Apr 28 20:59:45 2011 +0100 summary: Bug 647682 Can't copy and paste local links in <editor> documents r=ehsan f=bz My test on 2.3b3 shows also the bug is fixed.
(In reply to Wolfgang Germund from comment #15) > In Known Issues is bug 647682 listed. > But in mozilla-beta the bug is fixed: Well spotted. Neil forgot to do the bookkeeping. Moved bug 647682 from Known Issues to Changes: Checking in src/releases/seamonkey2.3/changes.en.html; /www/seamonkeyproject-org/src/releases/seamonkey2.3/changes.en.html,v <-- changes.en.html new revision: 1.9; previous revision: 1.8 done Checking in src/releases/seamonkey2.3/index.en.html; /www/seamonkeyproject-org/src/releases/seamonkey2.3/index.en.html,v <-- index.en.html new revision: 1.7; previous revision: 1.6 done
>In some cases where an old profile has been migrated, the sound settings >(Browse, Play) on the Popup Windows Preferences pane do not work. Try resetting >the privacy.popups.sound_url pref from about:config (bug 658060). Fixed for 2.2 AND 2.3 actually >Windows: > > Some users of Adobe Reader X have experienced instability when viewing PDF >documents in the browser. Uninstalling and reinstalling Adobe Reader X has been >determined to resolve the issue (see bug 640901). Fixed as of 2.3 >Users compiling from source might need a newer gcc and libstdc++ as the build >requirements have changed (bug 578880). Can be removed now, we have had it for a few releases, I am not opposed to keeping it for 2.3 just in case, and dropping it for 2.4

(In reply to Justin Wood (:Callek) from bug 678756 comment #3) > Appreciate if you could *try* and outline what/where/etc, to check for > "relnotes sync". (in the relnotes bug anyway) so that myself or someone else > can do it. I simply meant going through the "What's New in Firefox" list once the FF6 relnotes are available and checking whether we're missing anything under our "Mozilla platform changes" section. The reason is that I read some precipitate announcements on German online media (namely Heise and Golem) that listed some of these which are not on the FF6beta relnotes: - plugin check in the AOM (link at the top of the Plugins page) - HTML5: progress and track elements - element.dataset (Custom Data Attributes) - CSS support: text-decoration-color, -moz-text-decoration-linem -moz-text-decoration-style and -moz-hyphens - XHR2 Arraybuffer - Server Sent Events - beforeprint/afterprint - JS: weak references I think at least the first one is noteworthy; maybe more. I'll leave that for you to decide (we can update the list after the fact, of course, but the most important things should be there from the beginning).
