This is a meta bug to track all the sub-bugs related to upgrading to the r8c NDK on buildbots. Bug 769099 tracks deployment of the NDK to all buildbots Bug 814418 tracks code changes that are needed to make the build work Bug 772974 and bug 790624 track issues with building for ARMv6 that will need to be resolved before ARMv6 builds can be switched over to r8c as well. At least one additional bug will need to be filed for actually switching the mozconfigs to use the new NDK once it has been deployed. ARMv7 mozconfigs will probably need to be done separate from ARMv6 mozconfigs. I'll file those bugs once bug 769099 is fixed.

NDK r8d (December 2012) is now available, which includes gcc 4.7. :D Unfortunately, I get new compilation errors with NDK r8d, such as: android-ndk-r8d/sources/cxx-stl/stlport/stlport/stl/_exception.h:58:60: fatal error: ../../system/include/exception: No such file or directory

Heh, I think we can wait on r8d then :)

Also it looks like jim filed bug 825968 for that issue.

All android builds are now on r8c. Closing this bug.
